The same program works as a live link you can send to audiences and as a print-ready export for the lobby and the press.
Most audiences will never see your printed program. A link can be put in the show's social posts, emailed to subscribers, and linked from your website, and it stays correct as the production changes.
Print still matters for the lobby and for press, so the same content is exported at print dimensions rather than screenshotted from a browser.
