Route video through the cloud
Running signal between buildings or floors means cable that is expensive, awkward, and easy to damage. Relay moves that signal over the network through routing nodes instead.
A routing node sits at each end of a path. You send a source into a node, it travels over the network, and it arrives at the node on the other side as a source you can use like any other.
Where this helps
- Moving a signal between buildings without running cable
- Sending a stage feed to a control room elsewhere
- Keeping a spare path available for a production
- Relocating production without rewiring the venue
Because a routed signal arrives as an ordinary source, everything downstream behaves the same way. Switching and graphics do not need to know whether a feed came from a local camera or across the network.
