Power for long events
A show that ends with a camera dying is a production problem, not a battery problem. Power is a scheduling decision as much as a hardware one.
Full-length shows and multi-act programmes run far longer than a typical camera test. Batteries need to be planned around the length of the event, not the length of a rehearsal.
Planning power
- Charge before the event, not during it
- Keep a charged spare for every camera that runs on battery
- Use continuous power where a venue allows it
- Schedule charging between shows rather than overnight
